I wrote a novel called Politically Correct. The title was tongue in cheek. One of the most insidious influences in our society is political correctness. The progressives try to steal the language and use it for their own purposes via the vehicle of political correctness.
For example: let’s examine the word liberal. The root of that word is of Latin origin, Liber, which means literally freedom. Therefore, the liberals who proudly proclaim their liberality all the while taking away our freedoms, are using the language at odds with its roots.
Another example you say? I can do that. How about progressive? The word progressive literally means a gradual change toward a positive end. Well, today’s progressives are not interested in evolving the culture or enhancing society, but rather are trying to take this country back to pre-revolutionary times when King George III ruled arbitrarily and our people were servants of the crown.
How about the term health care. The Marxists in charge of our federal government are not concerned about your health care. They would just as soon you died when you started draining government resources to stay alive. They also believe that a great way to control the population, especially the poor, is to destroy the family with welfare and to kill the unborn. After all, if a young poor black woman is a strain on the system, then we need to make it easy for her to kill her children. That’s what’s best for the collective. Resistance is Futile!
One of my personal favorite terms is bi-partisanship. The word partisan literally means an adherent or supporter of a person, party or cause. So, it follows, sequitor, that bi-partisanship means supporting two parties or causes. So, if the Democrats support raising taxes, public funding of abortion, a weak national defense, crappy schools, totalitarian rule, putting their greasy fingers in every facet of my life and destroying our economy and I don’t, then I have to support and adhere to them and myself at the same time in order to be bi-partisan. This is obviously not possible unless you’re an out-of-power Republican like John McCain.
The bottom line for me is that you can’t please all the people all the time. You can’t fool all the people all the time and you can’t buy beer on Sunday before noon in Michigan. What does that mean? I have no idea, but I blame it all on political correctness.
